The BND Babes My compatriots at Boys Next Door reviews, en masse. Starting from the left: Violane, Cynthia, and Betsy Tea. Each "babe" was drawn separately on 8.5" x 11" sheets of typing paper, then photographed with a digital camera to be colored in and layered into a single image in photoshop. Violane's actually came out the best, which I'm pretty pleased with because, since I don't know her as well as the others, she was more difficult to draw. I used the weird prodigy kid from Martian Successor Nadesico as a model and gave her Kagato's glasses from Tenchi Muyo. I modeled Cynthia's design based on the manga artwork for Oh My Goddess on account of her eyebrows; they're drawn on thicker than in the anime and look more natural. I screwed up they eyes though, so now she resembles a powerpuf girl. Her pose is Sailor Moon's. Betsy just wanted to add that the outfit she's wearing is actually hers. I copied her off Ritsuko, the neurotic blonde scientist from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Neurotic about suits her.
