Room Party X Memorable Accomplishments

Otakon 99:

- We were the large crowd combing the hotels and the convention center saying "join us!" and "come with us!" and "wanna party?" and "we have nowhere to go! Wanna come?"

- We were the large crowd playing duck-duck-goose near the dealer's room Saturday night (or was it Sunday morning??

- We were the people invading the "rave" (cough laugh cough) asking people if they wanted to actually have fun

- We were the people singing Happy Birthday to John on that plaza thingy on the skywalk near the Hyatt (you know, the thingy with the white and red concrete tiles . . . that thingy!)

- We were the people who made an awful ruckus while fountain swmming at the Pratt Street and Light Street fountains (I think that's what they were called . . . the cool ones with the stairs, not the tiny ones near Burger King)

- We were the people who walked down the Harbor, only to turn away in fright near the end (we got lots of weird looks, and we weren't even in costume! Go figure.)

- We were the people who made a homeless man and a deaf man at least $50 richer

- And we were the people who fit 29 people into a Hyatt elevator (at least, I hear that's what the final count was) . . . which, from what we know, is the Otakon record (though I think I heard rumor of 33?? If so, we have a goal for next year!)

NekoCon 99:

- RPX roamed a bit, as per tradition, though lost most of its followers when it tried to recruit from the dance. o_O

- There was a short time when Steve Bennet was roaming with RPX.

. . . you don your Captain Harlock shirt and size 3 vinyl pants, say come on and inexplicalbly 50 plus people follow you.
